Insurance
Make pet insurance claims calmer with one record.
Pawfile isn't an insurer and doesn't give insurance advice. We help you keep the details insurers ask for in one place, so claims and renewals take less digging.
How Pawfile helps
- ✓Store your insurer, policy number and renewal date on each pet's profile
- ✓Get a reminder before renewal so cover doesn't lapse by accident
- ✓Keep invoices and vet notes together, ready to attach to a claim
- ✓A clear medical history can help when an insurer asks about pre-existing conditions

The four main types of UK pet cover
Accident only
Covers injuries from accidents, not illness. Usually the cheapest.
Time-limited
Covers a condition for a set period, often 12 months, then it stops.
Maximum benefit
Pays up to a set amount per condition, with no time limit, until it runs out.
Lifetime
Renews a vet-fee limit each year, so long-term conditions can stay covered if you keep renewing.
Always read the policy wording and compare excess, limits and exclusions. Comparison sites and the insurer's own documents are the best place to check what's covered.
Insurance partners
We're talking to UK pet insurers about partner offers for Pawfile members. Any partner will be clearly labelled, and we'll say if Pawfile earns a commission.
